I really am not one to procrastinate much.....or so I thought!

I've always thought of myself as more of a "concrete sequential" type person, always doing things in order, and not varying much from a routine. But I don't know what's happened to me lately! I can totally justify not finishing a job --- like, "maybe I'll be more creative later," or, "I'm not sure that thread is a perfect match, so I'll just wait"!, or "I should wrap that gift, but I might find one more thing I want to put in with it" get the picture!!

Because I have so many projects to do in the next couple of months, I thought I'd write them all down, so I could prioritize them. Well, all that did was make me anxious and depressed every time I looked at the list! So, I've just been job jumping. Starting one project and going on to another, another and another, before the first one is done. So now I have about 15 unfinished projects laying around waiting to be finished.

I've decided I can't go on like this anymore, so I brought the list back out. The projects are numbered in order of importance, and I plan on finishing one before I start the next. I know I'll work my way through it eventually!! (Boy, I'm glad I didn't rip that list up, or I'd just have another job to do by rewriting it!!)

Oh how I can relate!...In my case I'm always thinking of new designs to hook or creation to sew, then I'll purchase all the materials for each project and once its time to start it, I'm too overwhelmed and tired. I don't think it has anything to do with procrastination for me...just using all my creative energy at once. But I know exactly what your going through, sometimes a good "timeout" is needed just to recharge.

LOL! You are soooo describing my life for the past year or so. I "used" to be organized ~ my Mom was a list maker and so am I. My Mom checked hers off as she completed a task for the day. I tape my list to the pc monitor or the refrigerator and get a headache and feel guilty just reading it, lol!
