It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.....

I spent all day yesterday decorating for Christmas!! There is something so exciting about digging out the boxes and carefully unwrapping all of the items in tissue paper. I usually love to use the old fashioned tinsel, but with a couple of new "granddogs" around, we had to leave it off this year! Last year our tree fell, breaking a lot of our ornaments. I was given so many beautiful new ones as a gifts. My motto: You can NEVER have too many Christmas ornaments!
I love this piece I got from my friend Bonnie. I've always wanted one of her wonderful pieces of art, and was so thrilled to get this one!
My Grandparents didn't have a lot of Christmas decorations, but one thing they did have was a plastic church that lit up. I thought this was the neatest thing I'd ever seen.......some day I'd love to find one just like they had, but this one kind of reminds me of it.
I collect the Dept 56 "Dickens Village", or, as my husband calls it "a collection gone mad"!

It was easy to get "in the mood", after the big snowfall we had over the weekend.

FABULOUS! Everything looks just wonderful. I noticed the Watt pottery in your cupboard. I collect that as well.
