Simpler times.............

My Grandmother had a postcard collection that I was fortunate enough to inherit. I really enjoy reading through them, as it gives a glimpse of what it was like in earlier times.

One of my favorites is this one! It was sent to my Grandmother's brother in 1916 and reads:
"Hello Johnnie, How are you getting along these fine days. Do you tease as much as you did when I was there. Wishing you a merry Xmas - Mary Flanagan"

Times sure have changed - notice the address just says "Mr John O'Connell, Jr, Barry, Minn.

Hmmm, I think maybe Mary liked it when Johnnie teased her?!
