I feel fortunate to live in modern times, with all of our conveniences, education, and advancements in technology. But, if I were to have been born in earlier days, I think I would have chosen the millinery field as a profession! Using the gorgeous velvet flowers, fine netting, feathers, beads, pearls and crystals to make these wonderful, extravagant hats would have been something I would have loved to do. And just think how nice it was for those ladies - if you were having a bad hair day, you could put on one of your pretty hats and you were good to go!
