I experienced the phenomenon of seeing one lone shoe lying in the middle of the street on the way into work. Just how does this happen?! Are they thrown out the car window?! Do they fall off when someone is running? Or, maybe they're left there on purpose to give drivers like me something to ponder while waiting in traffic. If that's the case, it works-I can always come up with a pretty good story in my head about how it got there......

Of course, there is always the possibility that the person was abruptly abducted by aliens and there was only enough extra room in the space ship for the human, their clothes, pocket change and ony one shoe.

OMG!! I know what you mean! Isn't that crazy to see? Just one, and it seems to happen pretty often. I always get sad when I see a kid's shoe. (that's when the worry factor comes into play!)
Hugs!

Just yesterday, driving down a busy highway, I saw a boot laying at the side of the road and pondered it. At least five miles further down was the mate to it. That got me pondering even harder:)
