After celebrating my Birthday yesterday, my "Queen for a Day" status has officially expired!

I was born on a Sunday morning, 1954, in the middle of a big snowstorm. My parent's car wouldn't start, so my Dad walked down to the church, looked for a car with keys in the ignition, and left a note on the vehicle next to it saying he'd return the other car after he got Mom to the hospital. (I don't think this is grand theft auto, is it?!) This photo was taken in April, 1954.

I've decided that I'm going to start this New Year, new week and new day with a different attitude. Instead of looking at the glass as 1/2 empty, I'm going to look at that glass just right, and see that it might possibly overflow. And these grey hairs on my head?  Well, they are saving me money by not having to highlight my hair. Wrinkles? Nope, they aren't going to bother me, either....all of them are just reminders of things that made me laugh and smile.
I'm going to take more time to enjoy all of the little things in life...especially after seeing how quickly the past 56 years have flown by!

Happy Belated Birthday Nancy, hope it was a great day! I loved the car story. I'll bet it's been told & retold through the family of the people who owned the car too. When my daughter was a child, she had a T-shirt which read "It's all in the attitude". Sounds like you've found a good new attitude. Hey, that sounds like a song...

Dad told me at one time who's car it was, but I've forgotten (that's what happens when you get older, you know!)
