Victorian Whimsies

This past weekend was a roller coaster of emotions for our family. We celebrated my Mother-in-Law's 80th Birthday, but we were all very sad that my Father-in-Law is critically ill.

They have 15 children, 32 grandchildren, and the 7th great grandchild was born today.

Here is a photo of Mom with her children.This photo is of all children, spouses, grandchildren and great grandchildren that were able to attend (68 of us!) There were only 6 family members who couldn't be there. (You can click on the photos to make them larger.)
It was very difficult for us to leave Chicago yesterday, but knowing my husband, 12 of his siblings and other family members were able to stay with "Grandpa", made it a little easier.
This remarkable man is truly surrounded by love in his final days.
